Yippee for me. I met my weekend deadline of proofing the galley for Caring Lessons. I get to see and approve the corrections yet, but that’s it.
In all, there were only 22 paragraphs that were not indented correctly–something that can happen in the typesetting process. Everything else was in place–dedication, acknowledgments, TOC…
Having the hard copy was key! I caught twice as many “indent” problems than I picked up when I read the ms on the screen at 150%. (Thanks again, Helen.) Now, I can’t believe I was thinking of proofing it without a hard copy. What was I thinking?
I wasn’t.
