I tried. But my photos over Lake Michigan don’t measure up to those I found on the Internet. However, they are striking in their black/white/gray contrast. From a distance:Knowing I may not be alive when the next supermoon phenomenon occurs, I figured these pictures were worth keeping in my archives! Closer up:Do you remember the stats from your news source last Saturday (3-19-11)? A supermoon occurs whenever the moon happens to be both full and at its closest approach to the earth–this time the closest point was 221,565 miles away. A supermoon is supposed to be brighter and larger, but sometimes these changes are not discernible.

The last supermoon was in 1993. Will you be around for the next one? If you hope so, how will you spend each day? An exciting, if not daunting, thought for the day!
