I tried. But my photos over Lake Michigan don’t measure up to those I found on the Internet. However, they are striking in their black/white/gray contrast. A supermoon occurs whenever the moon happens to be both full and at its closest approach to the earth–this time the closest point was 221,565 miles away. A supermoon is supposed to be brighter and larger, but sometimes these changes are not discernible.
