When I missed my connection and stayed overnight at O’Hare a few nights ago, all I could see of Chicago from my hotel room was this haze of clouds. It was almost enough to soothe my lonesome mind.

Living in the Chicago area for fifty years does that to you. I imagine you have some places lodged in your mind, too.

I’m happy Marv and I moved from our downtown condo to South Dakota to be near our daughter and her family before he became ill and passed away. It was good to be settled in and not have to resettle alone.

I want to assure you, at an older age, that there is still lots of life after the death of one’s spouse. Life is different but doable, along with a big dollop of faith.
