Aging from a Recent Widow's Perspective, Blogging from A to Z in April, from carbon paper to printer, making copies of documents
An Entry for the Blogging from A to Z in April challenge
First, to make copies, it was carbon paper between onion skin paper on my old upright Royal typewriter.

Then it was standing by a mimeograph machine and turning the roller round and round.
Then it was standing by and watching the miraculous Xerox machine do its work.
And now, to make copies, it is by pressing a key on my laptop computer and listening as the printer takes over.

We’ve come a long way in my life time. Think of the learning curve. The frustration. Who ever said older folks can’t learn new tricks? Congratulations are due to all of us who are computer literate! Don’t you agree?
I agree! We are the advanced seniors. I have friends who will not even send emails. They insist they are the most progressive since they still connect by telephone.

It is interesting to see some people’s reluctance to embrace computers or smart phones. I think fear of having to learn something new may be involved. It’s not an easy task!

I totally agree that we are smart older folks. Where would we be without our Iphones, Ipads and macs?

And long, long ago there were the few people permitted to be literate who copied books and such by hand, one letter at a time. That must have been exhausting.
I love letter X posts! Always such variety.
It’s hard to believe the blogging challenge is almost over. Then the after survey, reflections, and the road trip sign-up.
Plus, I’m taking part in the Bout of Books read-a-thon in May. So much excitement!
