Before returning on Thursday to Chicago’s single digit temperatures, I’m enjoying every minute of Palm Desert’s mid-80s with its clear blue sky, gently waving palm fronds, and sweet aromas of new-to-me flowers, including those of startling red bougainvillea.

    OK…. yes …. very envious: Being with your sister. Being in California in WARM weather. Eating ice cream. 3 VERY good reasons to be just a little envious. 🙂 BUT good for you. That’s exactly what I want to do when I retire from nursing, minus the fx ribs!
