Chapter 2 – A Matter of Attitude

My attitude change. It was absolutely no fun having the aura of a bad attitude haunting me through my junior and senior years. I might as well have had an engraving on my forehead that said, “Hey, look at me. I’m the student who has to be watched.” It’s no wonder, with my perceived pressure of needing to be perfect, that what I remember best are the times I messed up. And the pranks I participated in for survival. And then the time, toward the end of my senior year, when I was pleasantly surprised.
