If you don’t have green to wear, stay home during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Chicago.

On March 12, lots of people congregated at The Bean, while others were hurrying to the parade that would start a block away.

The parade starts at Columbus Drive just beyond The Bean in Millennium Park.

Sorry I didn’t get closer or get pictures of the greening (dyeing) of the Chicago River. I chose to stay at home and watch from afar! Not very Irish of me, I know. But I did listen to my favorite Daniel O’Donnell CD that I bought once at an Irish Fest. Love that “Welcome to my world…”
