Happy, happy, b-day friend. And I always thought your were SO MUCH younger than I! I was just remembering our fortuitous meeting at the Iowa Summer Writing Workshop–our second graduate school. Enjoy your 70th year!
This is your best yet! I have spent at least one hour (perhaps more) going back and forth … “gobbling every word and/or picture in front of me as I scroll back and forth … back and forth … up and down … many times over. Thanks for sharing your fantastic gifts!!!! Kay
Happy 70th yesterday, Lois! Speaking from the advantage of 72, the 8th decade is not so bad thus far (apart from aging joints, etc.)! Blessings, Cynthia
Cynthia, That is good to hear. I think maybe the 60s decade is the time for the body to start falling apart, and I’m hoping the 70s is a time of stabilization until the 80s. At least I’m planning on no more demises during this decade. Enough already! Thanks! Lois
Cynthia, I would so love to hear from you. (see my comment to Lois below) I’m looking for more 80 year olds to share in my conversations about the Third Trimester. If you get a chance, please visit my blog and leave a comment. Thanks http://lifesthirdtrimester.wordpress.com
Yes, hurray to us for making it this far and for forging ahead with a positive attitude! I wish you a good seventies era also. Thanks for writing and good wishes with your new blog. I like the writers on elderchicks.com also. We all can hang in together! Lois
Cynthia. I loved your posts and enjoyed the replies as well. I am calling all those who are 60+ to share and converse on my newest blog http://lifesthirdtrimester.wordpress.com This is only just underway, but will eventually serve as a place to express to one another, to support continued growth and to celebrate life in ways that serve to be an example to those who are approaching this wonderful age. i believe we have become the change we want to see and at just the right time too!!! Many blessings for your 70th year. I’ll be posting soon on celebrating the decades and how I’ve done that and plan to do it in the future.
arent we all just wonderful!!! This is a terrific time of life! I am finding so many more people who are happy to be 70 than I ever did at 40, or 50 or even 60!!!
Wishing you many joys and blessings as you enter your 7th decade! Happy Birthday!

Thanks! We surely didn’t think of birthdays such as this when we were back at Blodgett…and exchanging “our” wedding dress.
