An Arizona Winter Get-a-way

Even though our Chicago winter has been mild, I love to go somewhere guaranteed to be warm. After taking an eleven-day Palm Desert vacation with a sister, my husband and I spent six grand days in AZ.

We stayed with friends from my husband’s high school days, met several folks from his MN hometown, lunched with my husband’s sister/husband one day and his brother/wife another, and spent a day at friends we met on our Mediterranean tour a few years ago.

Traveling from Tucson to Phoenix to Peoria, we got a glimpse of winter life in a warm climate, either in homes, condos, or RV parks. And it all looked good!

Who knows where we’ll end up next winter?

    Hi Lois,
Your Arizona post caught my attention. Pat and I spent the month of February in Rio Verde, Arizona and just got back home last Friday. We enjoyed the varied terrain as we traveled around the state, the daily sunshine and warm weather that was about 15 degrees above normal. Hope you got to see beautiful Sedona where we stayed for 3 weeks about 4 years ago. I highly recommend Arizona.
    Best wishes,
    Duard

    1. Hi Duard,

It would have been fun to bump into you folks as we traveled around! We went to Sedonna before and didn’t get there this time. But our time was too short, so we’re dreaming about next year…
