If you would like a reprieve from hiking on your vacation in AZ, consider a visit to this delightful Tea Room. Last week, I ate lunch there with my daughter-in-law and three neighbors. It was about an hour’s ride through breathtaking desert/mountain scenery, including a section called the “boulders.”

Adobe homes are tucked out of site within the boulders.
The tea room is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Queen Elizabeth photos are all over.
A quiche was my choice for lunch, followed by a berry cobbler with ice cream. And I took three scones with jam and cream home. Elegant at a total of $32.00! A once-in-a-lifetime treat.
I’m trying to look like a lady who lunches.

As I wind down my time here in AZ, it is fun to keep experiencing different aspects of this beautiful state. The next time you hear from me, I’ll be back home in chillier SD. Let’s all hope for a good transition to spring. And pray for peace around the world.
