“Marv Taking Charge” becomes a winner!

This post needs few words. Read the graphics. Winning was a delightful surprise.

A great excuse to go back to my former hometown.

Marv’s “thumbprint” marked his decisions: refuse chemo, choose quality of life over quantity, and die at home.

February 11, 2018. A few days after diagnosis. Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, Sun City West, AZ

Marv wanted me to write his/our story. I’m super grateful for this recognition! The book’s theme is patient autonomy. I recommend everyone read Atul Gawande’s Being Mortal.

Thank you, CWA!

      1. Yes, yes! I was so sorry about all that happened in Chicago for you – leading up to Lit Fest. Hope you’re continuing to recover and feel well. It was a treat to meet Marianna, but not the same as meeting you! 🥰

Wonderful news. Your story has resonated with many who are facing the inevitable end of life decisions. Marv would be extremely proud if you, as are we all. Have a joyful holiday and stay in touch. Ann
