Chaos. In one word, since Caring Lessons: A Nursing Professor’s Journey of Faith and Self came about a week ago, life has been chaos. Fun chaos, but chaos.

I’ve been plodding down the list of promotion strategies I listed here a few weeks back. The plod is the work, the responses the reward. So many good people wishing me well.

But the busyness stole my attention from adding excerpts. So today, while I take a breath, I’m adding an excerpt from “Chapter 22 – Sadie Tomczyk.” In this chapter, I stepped down from my assistant dean position and returned to teaching nursing. And ran into a stone barrier.
