Remember not so long ago when you’d go to a bookstore and hear readings by authors? Now another form of getting to know the author is available: the book blog tour.
Caring Lessons was out awhile before I stumbled on information about WOW-Women on Writing on the SheWrites site for women writers. WOW was highly recommended for conducting blog tours. Eventually, I emailed and asked for information. In response, Jodi Webb, the coordinator of my tour, wrote:
Our most popular blog tour lasts 3 to 4 weeks and includes 12 to 15 ‘appearances’ starting with The Muffin at http://muffin.wow-womenonwriting.com/, the blog for WOW-Women on Writing where we hold a contest giving away a copy of your book. The appearances can take many different formats: interviews, book reviews, guest posts, or book giveaways.
So I’m very excited that my tour begins tomorrow and lasts through the beginning of April. I’ve answered interview questions, set aside books for giveaways, and written blog posts for the reviewers that will be featuring their reviews of Caring Lessons on their blogs.
Follow me here, and I’ll post the links on each day that I’m featured.Tell all your friends who may be interested (or not) in a story about a “rebellious minister’s daughter, reluctant nurse, restless mom, perpetual student, and eventually a fun-loving teacher of mental health nursing” to hike along with you, and me, on what is sure to be a tour filled with new adventures.
National Nurses Week is just around the corner, May 6-12. It’s gift time! Buy a copy of Caring Lessons and help promote and support the profession of nursing. All proceeds go to nursing scholarships at Trinity Christian College.
I look forward to following your posts about your blogging tour.
