Home at last from a nearly 2,000 mile road trip to spread the news of Marv Taking Charge, my book about my husband’s terminal cancer for which he refused treatment and chose quality of life over quantity.

Read more about the book and how to order here.

This trip was all I could wish for: reconnecting with family and friends, along with meeting new folks, and having it feel like old home week at every stop. I’m very grateful to all of those people who were so welcoming.

I spoke with both small and larger groups over a week’s time with the emphasis on the idea that we all have a choice on whether we seek treatment with such a diagnosis. I strongly recommend, especially as older folks, reading Atul Gawande’s Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End.

As always, you can contact me at caringlessons@gmail.com. If you’ve already read the book and have an account on Amazon, I’d appreciate it if you’d write a two to three sentence honest review. To enter your review, click on the stars under the book’s title on its Amazon page. Thank you in advance for helping me spread the word!

Here’s wishing you all a happy spring. We’ve waited long enough for it…!
